About

Senior practitioner. Not a theorist.

Vertex Momentum Advisory is led by Saša Pavlaković — 20+ years in senior sales roles across telecom, digital agencies, and IT consulting, now helping B2B teams scale revenue across EMEA and the US.

The short version

Imagine a guy who's spent 20 years running and building B2B sales teams, scaling revenue across telecom, digital agencies, and IT consulting — that's me, Saša. Vertex Momentum Advisory is what I'm building now: focused engagements helping mid-market and Series B companies install the qualification, forecasting, and leadership rhythms that turn a sales team into a real revenue engine.

Career arc

Started in sales through a family business, where I first learned the fundamentals of customer relationships and deal-making. After completing a BSc in Business Information Technology at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, I transitioned into true B2B sales and entered the IT world.

Joined Croatian Telekom in 2009 as a Large Account Manager — managing 20 key clients, structuring cross-sell and upsell motions, and consistently delivering on meaningful revenue targets. Through a combination of leading some of the largest local and regional ICT projects and building strong commercial discipline, I progressed from team leadership roles to Sales Director by 2018: 30 managers, €50M P&L, integrated ICT programs combining hardware, cloud, SaaS, and services.

From there to Q Agency as Business Development Director — expanding into the US, UK, and EU markets, implementing structured deal qualification (using MEDDICC as the working framework) across the sales organization, and building relationships with new enterprise clients in segments where the agency previously had no presence.

Now founding Vertex Momentum Advisory (2026): helping companies shorten sales cycles, implement structured qualification, and build leadership rhythms that scale. Workshops, coaching, and fractional engagements — all from Karlovac, Croatia, where I run and train, having completed multiple marathons that reinforced the value of discipline, preparation, and consistency.

Why this matters

Most sales advisory work I've seen is generic: frameworks copy-pasted across industries, decks recycled across clients, "best practices" that work for unicorns but break in real Series B companies with real budget constraints. I built Vertex Momentum because I wanted the opposite — engagements where the work actually fits the company, the rollout actually sticks, and the leadership team can defend the numbers six months later.

Three principles drive the work:

  1. Qualification before everything.

If the team can't honestly score their opportunities, no forecast is real and no coaching is targeted. Deal qualification done right — MEDDICC is the framework we most often use — is the foundation.

  2. Rhythms over playbooks.

Documents don't change behavior. Weekly forecast calls, monthly deal clinics, quarterly business reviews — that's where the change lands.

  3. Leaders go first.

If the VP doesn't model the qualification discipline, no rep will. Every rollout starts with the leader.

How I work

Engagements are intentionally short and tailored specifically to you. A typical engagement is 4-16 weeks. I don't take retainers without a defined scope, I don't pad timelines, and I don't sell consulting hours. I sell outcomes — and I'm direct about whether your situation actually needs an outside leader, or whether you'd be better served by a workshop, a tool, or a referral to someone else.

Most clients come in for one specific problem: forecast variance, slow scaling speed, deal qualification rollout, transition coverage. We solve that. If there's more work, we scope it then. If not, we shake hands and move on. The quality of the work matters more than the size of the engagement.

Outside the work

Two children, fluent in Croatian / English / German, lapsed basketball player turned trail runner thinking about UTMB. Read mostly nonfiction. Hike when I can. Build small AI workflows for fun. Karlovac, Croatia — about an hour from Zagreb, three from the Adriatic, six from the Alps.
